Admissions

Physis Academy is a specialist provision that works in partnership with Local Authorities to ensure that each young person is educated in an environment that can effectively meet their individual needs. As a school we support pupils with EHCPs and Individual Eductation Plans. Admissions are coordinated through Local Authority processes, and we are therefore unable to accept direct applications from parents or carers but we are willing to have conversations with parents who are going through the EHCP process.

Before a placement is agreed, the Local Authority's Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team undertakes a formal consultation process with the school, considering the young person's needs, strengths, and required provision. This process, carried out in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015, enables us to carefully assess whether Physis Academy is the right setting for each prospective pupil. Our priority is to ensure that every young person who joins our community can access the specialist support, therapeutic approach, and personalised educational opportunities they need to succeed.

We understand that navigating the admissions process can feel overwhelming, and we are always happy to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have about our provision or the referral process. If you would like to learn more about Physis Academy, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team.
